Advertising Campaign of the Year 2016 – Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice!

Now that 2017 is in full swing, we had a moment of reflection going through all of the previous winners of our Campaign of the Month competition throughout 2016. We are delighted to announce that, being a firm favourite in everyone’s minds (and we’re sure you’ll agree!), Batman Vs Superman was ranked top of the list with their unforgettable bus wrap!

Before the film’s release, there was a big push on promotion which included a spectacular Double Deck Bus Wrap in Nottingham that travelled into (yes you guessed it) Gotham village. Thankfully in this Gotham the scarecrows are only in the fields and Mr Freeze only appears on a frosty morning!

Flashback to March 2016

When Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice was announced, all comic book lovers around the world lined up to see their favourite heroes battle against each other in the first instalment of the justice league. Worldwide box office hit over $865 million and the film ranked 7th in the highest grossing films of 2016. Not bad for a film that’s now up for a raspberry and we still love it anyway!

Although the bus was only on the road for two weeks, the PR response was incredible as it generated countless likes on social media and reached the pages of the local papers on more than one occasion. Put simply, this campaign looked, excuse the pun, Super! We are very proud to have been part of the film’s promotion and this campaign will certainly be part of our catalogue for many years to come!

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? No! It’s the Plot Summary!

Following on from 2013’s Man of Steel, Gotham City-based Caped Crusader, Batman, travels to Metropolis to encounter Superman, anticipating the outcome if the aforementioned is kept unrestrained. At the same time, another threat in the form of Doomsday, created from General Zod’s corpse by supervillain, Lex Luthor, emerges. With humanity being in danger more than ever before, Batman and Superman are forced to join forces and, with the help of Wonder Woman, fight for justice.

Thinking About Bus Advertising?

Buses are on the road between 10 and 18 hours a day, up to seven days a week. That’s a lot of time that your brand or event could be getting in front of your target audience! As well as being in town and city centres, buses also take to the residential areas, increasing the viewing further. We even have some buses that do more rural routes, which suits some of our clients and their needs.

With bus advertising, you’re not relying on a prospective customer to buy a form of print media and to turn the page onto your particular advert. You’re not relying on them having the radio or TV on at just the right time to catch your advert.

The only thing you have to rely on is us, Adverta, to look after your marketing needs from start to finish and we have decades of experience in doing so.
