The winner of November’s Campaign of the Month was Blacklock Carpets with their bus advertising in Nottingham; a bold and distinct advertising campaign!
Blacklock Carpets is a family-owned company which was created 35 years ago and is currently run by their two sons and daughter. They offer a wide range of flooring for your home or business, ranging from Axminster Carpets to modern Karndean Flooring. They operate a busy, local store in Beeston, Nottingham. Their main focus is providing excellent customer service and value for money for their high-quality flooring. Blacklock Carpets sell to a vast range of customers including student housing, doctor surgeries, schools and family homes.
Eager to promote their range of flooring throughout the surrounding areas of Beeston, Blacklocks opted for an advertising campaign of one Double Deck Mega Rear bus advert on a 24-month period. Their advert was put on a dedicated route in the area of their shop to target potential local customers and the surrounding areas.
This isn’t Blacklock’s first advertisement with us, having worked with us on their outdoor advertising in Nottingham for the last four years.
Their first campaign with us hit the roads of Nottingham in August 2013, shortly followed by an additional order of a Single Deck Mega Rear for two years which started in January 2014. Having been impressed with their experience and being able to see the impact their adverts had, they renewed their original bus advert for a further two years in late 2015 and, mere months later, added a further Double Deck Mega Rear bus advert for another two-year campaign! The Single Deck Mega Rear then renewed in early 2016 for a further 2 years and the most recent campaign was the renewal of their original advert once again. If this doesn’t say bus advertising works, we don’t know what does!
The Blacklock Carpets buses carry unique and outstanding designs such as this ‘princess and frog’ design. Showcasing their branding and what their company has to offer, it certainly isn’t an advert that you can miss when you’re out and about in Nottingham!
We spoke with Jo who co-runs the business with her brothers and she told us; “We’ve been so happy with the bus advertising over the last few years that we even got some of our van liveries re-done to match the bus advert designs. We felt this was ideal to create even more continuous brand awareness in our local area.
